got my new Nikkor 50mm 1.8 in the mail, and i went downtown for 3 days. yesterday i went on a walk down with a few people from tpmg.ca to Cherry St. which seems to be an industrial district by the waterfront. gave me a good chance to gain experience with the new glass and enjoy the scenes.

I believe I am only able to capture 10% of the beauty that i saw outside today.









no wonder people find sunsets so romantic =)
getting used to digi photography now, expect more and more from me.

One more day

ONE MORE DAY.

ok here's a little rant i had in my mind today. so in this class, a guy on the table pulls out his wallet and shows the group a wad of 20's in his pocket. here's a little dialogue:

me: hey man, i don't think it's a good idea to carry that much in school.
him: what's gonna happen, someone gonna jump me? i have connections man! with the police AND the mafia!
me: well still, you can get robbed you'kno, not just jumped.
him: i'd like to see that happen.
me: well yea, you might drop money too.
him: doesn't matter, i can get more if that happens
me: people cry because they lose 5 bucks
him: I'D cry if i lost 5 bucks, then i'll go to the bank to get more
me: some people don't have banks to go to
him: well I have a bank, all that matters

end, well yea. i got pretty frustrated with him, it make seem like much, but i don't understand how INCONSIDERATE well-off people can be sometimes. they don't have a single clue about the value of a single dollar.

i FAIL

i went to the grease musical last night, and brought along my Oly, wanted to test out my paparazzi skillZ! but i terribly fail. i took over 220 pictures, and yet i cannot post any of them! my zoom is not telephoto, i have no flash, and i have high noise high ISO, so my shutter speed was high = CAMERA SHAKE. all pictures were too blurry. i shall post two pictures that i have took experimentally.

btw, can't wait until music banquet, although Oly will not be tagging along, too much of a risk =p

hello everyone, this is the beginning of my little journey with my new d-SLR.

umm, that's about it. memory card, body, and a lens. i hope to expand this set of equips when my there's a bit more disposible income. here's a shot i took this morning when i woke up.
